On October 23-25, 2019, the "2019 South China Sea Annual Conference" was successfully held at the Sanya Institute of Deep Sea Research. The meeting was co-sponsored by the Institute of Deep Sea Science and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Ocean Society. As China's first high-precision CTD manufacturer, Daowan closely followed the latest developments in the field of international physical ocean research. The founder, Mr. Howard Chang, was invited to participate in this meeting.

The South China Sea Annual Conference series has been successfully held 5 times, respectively hosted by Xiamen University, Guangdong Ocean University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, the First Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources and Hohai University. This conference is the sixth in a series of conferences, and carries out academic exchanges on topics such as the mesoscale / sub-mesoscale processes in the South China Sea, deep sea circulation, and changes in the marine environment.

Through the study of this meeting, Mr. Howard Chang learned more about the importance of observation technology to ocean research. At present, the temperature and salt depth data used in the work of domestic physical ocean experts are basically from foreign brands CTD. Dao Wan will go all out to make the Chinese people's own high-precision CTD, and strive to change this situation as soon as possible!
